The four-storey LEED Gold certified Lazaridis Hall, located in the heart of Kitchener, Ontario, is home to the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics and Laurier’s Department of Mathematics, as well as the Lazaridis Institute for the Management of Technology Enterprises and Schlegel Centre for Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation.
Lazaridis Hall not only serves the some of the most inspiring and technologically innovative students on campus, but it also enables the University to deliver integrated and engaging learning opportunities to students at the local and global levels.
The building features functional, bright and open atrium, seven state-of-the-art double-stacked drum-shaped lecture halls (75-300 seats each) that appears to ‘float’ above a glass-encased café, a two-level 1,000-seat elliptical auditorium, active learning classrooms to support new pedagogies, collaboration spaces, computer and math labs, meeting rooms, and 240 academic and administrative offices.
