How to Create A Hybrid Classroom - The perfect solution for online learning

January 18, 2022

What is a Hybrid Learning Environment?

A hybrid classroom is a blended learning environment that leverages technology to facilitate collaboration and active learning in any environment, on or off-campus. This type of classroom is becoming increasingly popular as it allows students to learn in a way that best suits their individual needs. In a hybrid classroom, teachers can use tools like video conferencing and online whiteboards to connect with students in other locations, and students can use laptops or tablets to participate in class discussions.

Why is Hybrid learning important in 2022?

There are many reasons why hybrid learning is becoming an increasingly important way to learn. For one, it allows students to take advantage of the best of both worlds – the flexibility and convenience of online learning combined with the personal interaction and support of a traditional classroom. Additionally, hybrid learning helps students develop important skills like collaboration and critical thinking. And finally, it can be a great way to personalize the learning experience for each student.

Summary: Why is Hybrid learning important in 2022?

  • The education landscape has changed significantly in recent years.
  • Schools and universities are now taking advantage of blended learning environments that leverage agile technology to facilitate collaboration, active learning, and increase student engagement.
  • With the rise of online education, students have more opportunities than ever before to learn from anywhere on any device with a connection.

How Applied Electronics can help build your Hybrid Learning Cart

At Applied Electronics, we understand the importance of hybrid learning and the challenges that schools face in implementing it. That’s why we offer a range of solutions that can help schools create a hybrid learning environment that meets their specific needs. Our UC Mobile Cart solution, for example, is fully customizable and can be used in any type of classroom, on or off-campus. The core of the solution consists of three major components: UC engine for unified communications and collaboration; PTZ camera with full pan-tilt-zoom control for video capture; Audio solution to capture and provide clear, rich audio to the Class.

This powerful combination of tools allows teachers to connect with students in other locations, and students can use laptops or tablets to participate in class discussions. Our Hybrid Learning Cart, a unique design from Applied: UC Mobile Cart

Our UC Mobile Cart (Hybrid Learning Cart) It was crucial for the design to replicate a lecture experience for students while providing simplicity, flexibility, and an intuitive interface for the educator. On one monitor, the instructor can show content while students are visible on the second monitor. This is important in our eyes because we believe that teachers deserve to have a better chance to build relationships with their class by seeing them at all times.

One of the unique features of the design is its ability to create a native Teams or Zoom environment while simultaneously allowing educators to bring their own devices (BYOD) and use any open UC platform to create their virtual learning environment.

From a single system, Teachers can easily create, join, and screen share team calls. We wanted to make it as easy as possible for teachers to set up their learning environment so they could focus on teaching their students the important concepts.

What’s inside the UC Mobile Cart?

UC Engine

The UC engine is at the heart of our Mobile Cart solution. This software provides a common interface for all communications and collaboration tools, including web conferencing, video conferencing, chat, whiteboarding, and file sharing. The UC Engine is neatly arranged on the back of the screen and offers teachers a simple touch panel to control its features.

The PTZ camera

With full pan-tilt-zoom control, a PTZ camera allows educators to capture every detail of a classroom to enhance collaboration and instruction.

Audio Bar

The Audio Bar captures and delivers clear, rich audio to the Class. As a result, there is no need for additional microphones, so this solution reduces complexity and clutter.
